Sephora- chupa

I felt like pink. I don't do my nails often enough to do pink Wednesdays but I LOVE pink on my nails, I'm not sure why some people like reds some neutrals I get into pink now and then, I guess it makes me feel girly. I topped it with a random old glitter polish because I tea wrapped my left middle finger and it came out bumpy. I plan on cutting my nails again after thanksgiving anyway but just wanted them to last until then.
I got these mini sephora polishes about 1.5 years ago on sale I have alot of the reds and pinks. This color kinda makes me think of barbie I probably would have liked it a bit warmer but its a nice tone regardless. I applied it sloppy and yea I know I need to work on making the applications better.

color-Sephora- chupa
ease of application- kinda difficult probably could have used a little thinner
additional color- super old bath and body works glitter.
top- Revlon no chip top coat.

china glaze uptown metro collection- brownstone

I am totally in love with the china glaze application very little clean up needed and this is me not really applying that professionally. I really like this color very fall like and very creamy and opaque I could actually have done one thick coat of this, above is 2 coats and the front on picture is with some color correcting while the bottle shot is without and its just my dining room light illuminating it

Minted

I started with Revlon Minted, its a great color... I did a HORRID job applying it.my excuse is my beautiful daughter Athena. as soon as I get my first coat on she starts up... I pacify her and quickly start on the 2nd coat and 1/2 way through she really starts whaling. I guess I don't polish well under pressure... and then after that I messed up my tips picking her up etc.... sooooo I decided one way to cover it up would be to do a marbling... how come my simple pleasures you tube channel makes water marbling look so easy??? mine looked NOTHING like hers.... I don't know what I did wrong it was pretty discouraging. I wont say that I will never do it again. but its going to be a while... the polish wasn't spreading and then when I applied it it was all bubbling on my nail. :(.... so I decided to stamp the other nails using BM20 from the first stamp set. and add some orange dots. overall i am not that impressed with this mani, but its staying at least for a few days because I dont have the energy or time blocks with my infant to redo my nails again so soon...

I did a recent trans design haul.... I know I said I wasn't but I justified it and a girl has got to have some pleasures in life. The color is nice I actually did a BAD stamping job on this about 3 days after the initial application but didn't photograph it. I am slowly getting better with the stamping... my sweetie bought me the 1 bundle set so I have lots of stamping plates to use!!

spider on my candy corn

sorry I've been MIA for a bit. here is my latest Mani!

I have had about 3 manis since I last posed but my laptop was in the shop....
apparently Macbook pro's Media cards go bad. anyway as I have noted many times I am new to this I see soo many super cute Halloween Mani's and I am not confident enough in my skills to attempt. I do play around with a brush before I remove my polish so I am hoping to get better. not to mention having an infant makes it hard... she doesn't usually let me go for much more then 1 hour without some TLC during the day. I got the candy corn idea from my simple pleasures. I love her you tube videos and her candy corn seemed like something I could attempt to replicate.I chose to keep more white because i like how its sort of close to a french mani but with the slight edge. I also seriously wanted to Halloween it up with a spider, I also seriously need to get better with my freehand skills. at this point its my technique that needs refined. I struggle with too much polish on the brush or not enough so i end up with streaks or with globs... :(... part of it is the Matteseelite polish I used was runny as all get out. especially the yellow...

polishes used
ME- Matteseelite Neon's explosive
ME- Matteseelite Neon's caution
Kiss stripers white and black.

NYC Flat iron green

I got this for .99 at Duane Reade I usually don't go for the dark shades... mostly cuz I HATE HATE how crappy they look when they start chipping but since I am finally giving into my obsession and since I have the time to reapply and work on getting an even application I am really starting to like them. This one is almost black its such a deep green. I really like it. I stamped over it on the 3rd day with BM214 in a really super old gold in an afterthoughts bottle called gold fever. I did it cuz its old and kinda clumpy and I would probably have a mess of a time painting my whole nail with it. as it is the polish was really gel like and smeared alot... maybe its because I stink at stamping??? or maybe its the polish??? right now imma make myself feel good and say that its the polish. I am left handed and my left hand looks SH**y... ahh well I had the plain color on a bit and Ill be redoing this mani later this week. I was going for a *fall leaves look. but overall I think its a fail :(.

Wet-N Wild stamping

This is wet-n-wilds bite the bullet. its a nice neutral ish purple. I find its tone kinda boring to me.

This is my 2nd attempt at stamping. I must also note I have Swarovski stones left over from my invitations to my baby shower... ill be damned that I don't use them for something else.. they are a bit large, and since I am new to nail art I don't have different sized stones in my arsenal just yet. I also did a pedi with this same color scheme. I almost added silver to each nail but imma wait a day or two and decide if I still want to add.

the black is made with the black special polish and a black art deco. BM223 stamp plate
