Lotus

I for some reason can't go more then a month without craving a purple mani. This is zoya lotus another zoya I scored during the earth day sale. The photos honestly don't do this polish justice but even with that I felt kinda drab about it since to me it's more of a fall color. Below is 2 coats with fast dry

Papa-razzi don't preach

This Nicole by opi collection is probably my only complete collection. I generally don't have the funds to have a complete collection. Even with that usually there are one or two colors I could do without. This spring collection spoke to me. I have worn all but two as a full mani and I've enjoyed each color. This is no exception I honestly feel papa-razzi don't preach and strike a pose are my two faves! Papa-razzi is just a perfect blend of peach and pink neutral that it makes my hands feel delicate and girly. I can easily see myself wearing this color year round since it really doesn't scream a season like a neon or vamp. It's classic colors like this that steal my heart! Below is 2 coats with a fast dry top coat.

Zoya Rory

I am still wearing all of my zoya's. I am also still trying to remember to post I have a bunch of manis on backlog at this point I really should post every day. Rory was just ok for me I really do like how this has a foil metallic quality to it. It was not brush stroke heavy even with that. I guess it's just the color on me didn't wow me but either way it's application was good no problems. Below is 2 coats with insta top coat.

The "it" color

This is another from my eBay haul. I was actually looking forward to this the most of all the colors I got. I've been searching for A yellow that looks really good against my skin. This is a definite contender! I honestly can't deal with having the same color on my nails for more than a few days so I probably won't try another yellow out for a few weeks!! This is a perfect yellow cab yellow. Formula was pretty snotty :( it was still better than some other yellows I have tried but for an OPI it was definitely below normal standard. I ended up smudging this almost right after because I was busy making coffee on my way out to the park. Of course I had a quick dry topcoat on but if you nick your nail hard enough it will still show a smudge. This is to coats with fast dry topcoat I will wear this again this summer maybe on my toes!

Jade is the new black

Hi!! I got this cheap from eBay. I have sadly turned into an eBay bidding junkie I'm constantly trying to put myself on no buys then bidding on polish lots on eBay. Either way these are great colors. This green applied like a sweet dream I actually enjoyed applying this polish creamy and easy I possibly could have gotten away with one thick even coat but I'm not that talented yet so I did 2 coats. There was a mini contest going in instagram and I decided to enter just to test my skills I in no way thought I would come close to wining. And then to make matters worse my daughter turned into a clingy third arm for most of the day, not sure if she wasn't feeling well or what all I know is that that day I ended up throwing her in her crib and letting her cry it out just to have 10 minutes to myself to clean a little so I wouldn't lose my mind it was bad! :( needless to say the art part of this smudged when she pooped right when I finished and I had to change her diaper. At this point I sadly stopped I had originally planned more but I didn't even do my left hand :( anyway the color is great and I can totally see myself wearing it in the fall

Deep cleansers

Hello folks! I usually post from my Iphone just because its easiest for me. I found its the only way I post regularly. I am still on the search for the complete right hair and face products so I am composing some posts today on previous comparisons for my own reference and anyone who happens to stop by my spot. I used to be a huge Neutrogena fan. I actually even have some of their hair products and I am still a huge fan to a point. now that I am over 30 and that plus the changes my body has gone though since the birth of my daughter has caused me to pull slightly away from the Neutrogena line. I still think these worked great in my 20's tho. I used to use Neutrogena's deep clean gentle scrub. I loved how this had that minty feel in the morning. It was gentle while still giving me a invigorating clean feeling after. This combined with visibly even and my skin was good to go. I wanted to note that once this bottle was used up once I called myself *saving and buying into the CVS brand... DISASTER ... The CVS brand is nothing like the Neutrogena's the beads are huge and never really scrubbed into my face I also found it to be more harsh on my skin then the Neutrogena's this is one case where generic really doesn't pay off. I have in the past had great results with some generic products that were "modeled" after the name brand, Especially in the hair care area, but obviously the same formula does not hold true for facial cleansers and I honestly doubt I will even buy another generic unless I read somewhere how "great and like such and such" it is. After I got pregnant I stopped using the Neutrogena (worried about some of the chemical content etc) and now my skin seems like it dulls easier so I am letting this cleanser go for a cream cleanser, mostly because I feel my skin needs more moisture then before... anyway I will post on what I am currently using and opinion laters... till then toodles.

Flying dragon

I had a handy 10 off 20 coupon at Sally's and I was in Ohio visiting family ( yes there are no Sally's in manhattan) anyhow I found flying dragon on the display at Sally's regular core china glaze line. It's a neon but for some reason I have a weakness for purple polish. I picked this baby up along with some out the door fast dry and a few other items which I will review later. I guess I never really noticed how Matte a neon drys. This also dried a lot darker than I expected. I still found the flecks of color to be interesting. After a day or so with this I decided to spruce it up with a striping tool and some stones. I quite liked the result :). Below is 2 coats of china glaze flying dragon super fast easy application as most china glazes are. The wear time kinda sucked after about 2 days this baby was chipping :(

Visibly even

I decided to do reviews on my previously used products and note why they worked/ and or why they don't work anymore. Neutrogena visibly even used to be a staple of mine. I actually fell in love with this moisturizer when they had an original formula which contained vitamin c they have since reformulated this and removed it and added SPF 30 ( original was SPF 15) I noticed the change after but used up the new bottle anyway. I know now that vitamin c actually brightens my complexion. I still use the new bottle on occasion hoping that it will even out my skintone even if it won't brighten . But I'm on the quest now for more i doubt I will repurchase this now that I'm in my 30's, but even with all said its not a bad moisturizer for the price!:)

Test tube

Every since I gave birth to my beautiful daughter my skin and hair have not been the same I blame her and me turning 30.. Anyway instead of spending a but load of money buying products I "think" will help I decided to join a few product sampling programs. Test tube consistently gets rave reviews and it's also known to be very skin oriented . I still want to sign up for another but I'm on waiting lists.. :(. Anyway this works because instead of being bombarded I can give reviews/ thoughts on each item after I have used them for a while., so stay tuned for that! I personally really enjoy the magazine that comes with the subscription "new beauty " is very helpful to me already. I am going to try my best to start posting daily especially since I have hair products, face, make up , etc that I can review. Below is a snap of my first test tube. It ended up costing about 40.00 after shipping but it is honestly well worth it.

Bubble bath

My mom decided to help out with my addiction when she can and she picked up a few older opi polishes from a garage sale for me,This is one of them . Bubble bath probably could have used some thinner because it was a bit clumpy. But I wanted this to be opaque and this is a very thin French type polish. I wanted it as a palate cleanser and it accomplished that. Below is 3 coats and there is still a vnl. I painted these then went rummaging though my parents garage and immediately smudged the piss out of 3 nails. It bothered me , I also wasn't in the mood to attempt to fix with this 3 coater clumpy polish so I ended up only wearing this color on a bike ride then coming home showering and removing the polish.

Sephora pop

Every since I saw the color club summer 12 orange swatch sparkle and soar. I've wanted a glowing shimmery bright orange mani ! I may still purchase this at a later date but in order to get my fix I used one of those small bottles of sephora called pop and topped it with a wet-n-wild orange which is shimmery glitter. I'm away from home visiting my family in Ohio. So I brought a bunch of mini bottles even tho I did kinda go on a mini spree anyway. Anyhoo I loved this mani!! Bright and shimmery I am feeling orange right now like its my fab color lol. I'm loving my visit and I've been able to do multiple mani changes!! Not to mention cheap polish hauls! This is 2 coats sephora pop topped with 1 coat wet-n-wild orange

Purple yourself together

This is one of the few polishes I paid full price for. I saw swatches of this and knew i needed it in my collection. I honestly didn't capture the true copper shimmer this polish has in the photos. I haven't had time for art lately so I have just been trying to make my polishes special on their own. Below is 2 coats Nicole by opi purple yourself together. It applied nicely a few fingers i needed 3 coats for because i was a little light with my application. this is a Target exclusive kardashian from spring 2012. this is the only one from this collection I had to have

Zoya Bevin

This is my first Time trying zoya polish! I really love them! The application was a dream and the color is really unique to my stash. I had to take this while rushing out the door so the picture is on an escalator! Lol I actually smudged it in two places but it was hardly noticeable. This is two coats with a fast dry top coat. I definitely want more zoya polishes now! But the least I can do is try and wear them ones i already have! I've wanted to change color too often to have time to work on my nail art :( maybe soon tho!

Zoya haul

Thanks to doityourselflady blogspot I found out about the 1/2 off earth day sale! I'm soo excited about this haul I've never owned zoya before but even before trying any of the colors out I know I will purchase from them again. I got the scrub ,remover ,summer color chart and catalog free. everything in this pic was less then 40$ . And the colors look awesome in the bottle.

Soul mate

Today I have one of the 9 sinful colors polishes I got at the .99 cent sale at Walgreens! (tech 2) not sure I want to "freak" these. This is only 1 coat! It was easy to apply a tad thick but it's to be expected from a one coater like this. I added pinky glitter to my accent nail it's gloppy but as a glitter it doesn't bother me too much well worth the .99. I am pleasantly surprised by the formula for soul mate! Most of the sinfuls I have tried are thinner then this. I am excited to try more from my haul out in due time!

Interview nails

I noticed other darker skinned bloggers said San tan-tonio by opi was like a close match to thier skin tone and I also saw this bright tips done on pinterest and many other blogs. I decided for my interview to keep it neutral but the next day spruce it up with the brights! And knowing me I had to give my nails a little something so on my thumbs I framed them with studs I bought in the fashion district Downtown. I do like how they came out and even the boring ones looked ok during my interview. I used 2 coats with fast dry top. I love opi this applied like a dream! For the " freaked out" nails I used (From pointer finger over ) nopi one less lonely girl, nopi im a belieber, nopi ladies in the lime-light, nopi our fushia's looking bright. I then just took the dotting tool on my thumbs. This mani was fun and very simple!!

One big happy family

Hello world!
I got this entire CVS kardashian spring collection and I love it! This my 3rd polish that I've worn and I'm happy I got it. This polish grew on me the 2 nd day. I'm not sure how I will like the " freaked" art attempt but it's fun I may have to redo these early in the week anyway. I messed up on the stamping I'm still kinda a bad stamper :(, but hah well hopefully the stars take away from it, it was fun just working on all my techniques this is 3 coats formula was smooth. On the "freaked" nails the silver is a kiss silver striper the green is nopi from the Bieber collection called my lifesaver the pink is a no namer cheapie from Burlington ohh and the glitter is kleancolor diamond purple. I'm overall happy tho I need some serious practice with my line angle and consistency as well.

Urban outfitters hangover

So I decided every mani 2 days after I'll attempt to "freak" it. I've been trying to do this a while because first I really want to get better at nail art! I see so much inspiration out there from other bloggers. The problem is after I do a mani it's impossible for me to spare another 1/2 -1 hour on my nails especially with the dry time ( I do finally have the life saving quick dry) so me waiting means my mani has set and it's a whole new day to spare time for me nails! I usually wear my mani's 4-5 days unless I get a major chip. So 1/2 will be my "freaked attempt" I also want to wait cuz if I seriously mess up my nails I only have to deal with it a few days. So below we have urban outfitters hangover! I found this polish to be slightly snotty, this is 3 coats at 2 I still had bald spots it was just a bit clumpy on me. I actually like this color which really surprised me! It's a great spring color. On day 3 is my "freaked" attempt. At this point I was getting tired of looking at this color anyway. And if I mess them up I'm probably going to end up taking these off in a few days anyway. I quite like how they turned out ! I'm getting better at nail art!! The freaked version is base of urban outfitters hangover. Blue is American apparel mount royal, white is just old Victoria's secret French white.. The glitter is revlon star with added rhinestones these are huge left over from my baby shower invites. I used a stamp for the print then added white with a dotting tool

Jessica club hoppin

I got this polish from my mom who got it at a garage sale. I have no idea how old it is. The application was easy although it's a tiny bit on the sticky side if that can explain anything.. I got some nail tape from eBay that I added to an accent finger. Sorry I usually don't really clean up my nails, I just rarely have the time I actually ended up nicking these because of course right after my daughter needs me holding her. (she wants me holding her all the time ) This is 2 coats w/ fast dry top coat.

I added to this on the 3rd day the image attached is day 5 I'm probably going to redo these tomorrow you can see some tip wear. This is my attempt at framing freehand kinda sloppy I know

Whimsical

I have seen a lot of swatches of revlon whimsical around and i admit they got me itching to have this polish. I checked at Duane reade and they had it but I wanted to check around a bit more to see if I could get it cheaper well long story short I ended up adding it to a diaper accessory order on drugstore.com to qualify for free shipping. Funny how something looks so good on others is like "...meh" to me. Maybe I need to give it time to grow on me or start out with a darker different base color? I still feel this color screams spring in a good way! And I'm definitely going to try this topper again with something else hopefully it grows on me lol. Below is a suuuper old sinful colors "pastel blue" this has to be like 10 years old!! I'm actually thinking of trashing it I figured if it was goopy after thinner it would be topped by whimsical so it wouldn't matter but it was just so hard to work with, why bother. Plus it still looks bumpy to me :(... has anyone thrown away a polish just because they felt it was too old and goopy?

Smile for the Glam-era

This is another one of my spring kardashian colors although it's a vamp and to me dark colors like this look more like winter fall. I once again love the brushes the short thick ones provide easy coverage for me even with my baby being fussy while I attempted this manicure I was able to have no clean up needed after which says a lot for a dark color like this. I did figure out I've been to heavy handed and that's why I had the bubble issue in the past. I now wait till day 2 for the top coat just to be safe plus things dry fastest this way which works with me constantly needing my hands with an infant. Anyway on to the photos 2 coats and top coat, this is actually similar to a wet n wild I own only much smoother less glitter.

Below deck

This is my first time trying a watermark on my iPhone. It's not really a watermark but it works. I find the only way I post consistently is if I post through my iPhone. This is China glaze below deck. Somehow I find myself with three shades almost exactly like this, I guess I must really like this color!! It's actually nice on applied evenly and is very work appropriate in my opinion. Below is two coats no top coat, I figured out it was my top coat causing my polish to bubble possibly I apply too much? Not sure but I'm waiting till tomorrow to apply it this time

Soft petal

So since I swatched all my polishes I put myself on a no buy until I have worn over 1/2 of what I already own. Recently. I have lots of super old polishes which I probably have worn years back but just don't recall since it was before my official obsession began. I am currently at about 35 percent and today I have a super old bath and body works polish, this must be back from early 2000 which means its probably about 10 years old I looked it up and polish never goes bad ( which sadly only fuels my addiction) anyway I didn't put any thinner in this when I should have so it's a bit clumpy, but it's such a pretty color. It needs thinner and a steady hand when applying

Strike a pose

So this is my first official opi purchase. I have a few bottles but they are steals from my mom. I still have not gotten official opi but I did get some nopi off eBay I got the full Kim kardashian spring line. I don't even like Kim like that but the colors of this line spoke to me! And I found a decent deal on all 7! Incidentally I'm trying to put myself back on a no buy till July we shall see how that goes my swatching has me up to 130 polishes and counting! On to the photos
Nopi Kim kardashian strike a pose 2 coats with top coat!
I love the brushes on these such easy application formula was great also

St Patrick day mani

I actually felt like doing a st patty Mani! Green is my favorite color to look at (not sure if it's a money thing) but I didn't realize I had so many green hued polishes till I started searching them! I am planning a post of my stash! Or at least of my swatch wheels I decided to go by color so I don't purchase too many dupes. Anyway on to my mani
Sinful colors happy ending base
Sinful colors nail junkie glitter tips
Ring finger is vs French white base with crackle and nail junkie over- don't much like how it turned out but ahh well.
Thumb is happy ending vs French white and American apparel neon orange freehand flag!

Easy going

I started out with sinful colors easy going, rushed 1 coat over my naked nails then rushed to the store... Sadly I 4 got to fasten the top on the polish so when I came back to do a 2nd coat it was a gloppy mess, I rushed it plus that equals a sloppy mani I then topped it with barielle buda- ful fleck I'm not sure if it shows in the natural sunlight pic

China glaze electric beat

From the china glaze electricpop collection. Formula was heavenly 2 coats w top coat. I love this blue neutral yet bright and not too boring very spring! It's been nice here in NYC so I wanted to brighten my nails
After 2 days I added some nicole by opi pink with stamp special polish blue to change up my mani... And yes I did imprint my nails by sleeping on them a few hours after I painted them :(

Barielle out-grey-geous

I just did a transdesign haul and got a bunch of barielle polishes this is my first wear! Out-grey-geous needed 3 coats to full opacity I love the gold shimmer and decided to bring it out by adding a top coat of wet-n-wild the gold and the beautiful I loved the result of this Mani even tho I usually don't like silvers. I'm on my 5 th day of this Mani and no chips yet.

Stamping and crushed plum

I started with old Victoria's secret crushed plum color. Then I stamped with china glaze admire plate bm11 then I topped it all off with sponging on Sally hansens rockstar pink glitter this mani was also long lasting I think I was a bit over ambitious and didn't totally live this Mani but it grew in me after about 2 days.

Addition to American apparel mani

This is a kinda sample post to see how well posting works from my iPhone

I must say I was very impressed with the AA formula as well as how well this polish lasted ( full week) I hope phone posting allows me to keep up more. I'm probably going to have to abandon my watermark but it's a small price to pay for consistent posts :)

sorry ive been MIA

Honesty I don't think I'm much of a blogger. I love polish, hair, make up and shopping probably a little more then the average girl... Design is my life and my livelihood. But I'm just horrible when it comes to keeping up regular posting on a blog maybe if i could do it through my iphone. we shall see how that goes... I did try plenty of polishes since i left some I photographed some i didn't. Ill post them all here now and try my bestest to keep up

this is china glaze concrete catwalk the accent nail is twinkle lights I love concrete catwalk and the holiday glitter I have since done a friends nail in the concrete and she loves it also! not sure if they are good together but wateva I barely have time to think let alone make sure my polishes ALWAYS look FAB...

above is china glaze trendsetter I thought i would like this more then I did i think the tone of it is too close to my skin tone so i endind up doing a wack stamping job in special black polish just to make it pop

this is wet n wild, wildcard/invitation with a stamp of sally hansens uptempo plum I actually loved this mani, funny fact the wildcard color is the color my bf picked out to paint my toes when I was 9 months preg with my baby girl. I ended up giving birth to her with this color on my feet. and what is even better is this mani lasted a full week with hardly any tip wear... AMAZING

this is my nails currently American apparel mount royal I LOVE this color. I am seriously becoming a blue/green nail girl and I have no idea how. its just almost inbetween a blue and a purple its hard to explain. either way it was such a breeze to apply I really like their polishes.

thats it for now I have lost some pics probably on my cam never uploaded... but i wil at least take iphone snaps from now on and post when I can.. i also plan to post on other beauty products as well... soon
